Formulation Factory - Head of Operations

Responsibilities

• Build accountability systems with clear goals, deadlines, and follow-up rhythms
• Strengthen the operating system already established, including 1:1s, 30/60/90 plans, task boards, and KPI tracking
• Lead process improvements across departments and recommend operational enhancements to the CEO
• Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and delegation opportunities across the business
• Build a standardized project management framework with clear ownership and accountability
• Maintain SOPs and a centralized knowledge base
• Select, implement, and optimize systems, AI tools, and automations
• Train the team on new tools and continuously evaluate better solutions
• Own business reporting and real-time operational dashboards
• Deliver actionable reporting with recommendations, not just metrics
• Maintain data governance and reporting accuracy
• Own P&L visibility and partner with Iris Financial during FP&A transition
• Manage budgets and major operational spending
• Build budgets aligned with growth targets
• Improve profitability through cost optimization
• Team Leadership & Capacity Planning
• Build workforce capacity planning tied to business growth
• Foster a high-performance culture through coaching and accountability
• Lead difficult performance conversations when necessary
• Strategic Partnership with the CEO
• Serve as the operational counterpart to the CEO, enabling focus on growth
• Challenge priorities with data-driven recommendations
• Deliver executive reporting on operations and financial performance
• Translate company vision into measurable execution plans

Requirements

• Experience leading operations in a growing business while building systems and accountability
• Proven success implementing project management frameworks and KPI ownership
• Experience with EOS or similar operating systems
• Strong financial management including P&L visibility and budgeting
• Expertise building SOPs, documentation, and scalable processes
• Experience selecting and implementing business systems and automation

Benefits

• Salary Range: $120,000 to $150,000 plus bonus structure commensurate with experience
• Role Type: 1099 Contractor
