Forming Manufacturing Operations Associate Weekend Shift

Shift differential starts at 10% for off shifts. Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain alkaline and rinse tanks, monitor chemical makeup documents and usage.
  • Move parts as needed and wear proper protective equipment.
  • Understand and perform machine prechecks, operate, inspect, setup, minor machine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Set up and operate forming presses, including vertical or horizontal presses, rotary ovens, and other supporting equipment.
  • Inspect, maintain dies, polish resurface to meet standards.
  • Setup and operate hot/cold shear, inspect shear knife thickness and shim as required.
  • Determine front and back support alignment and adjust diameter length of raw stock, determine proper height, adjust/set controller for slug length/heat and material.
  • Batch operations: bench blend, contour, airfoil thickness, chord, platforms, lead edge and trail edge profile, penetrant rejects, stems & buttons, flow blockers and fillet radii, radius, deburr, buffing, visual inspect, auto bench operate/setup, in process and final tollgate inspection, and bench visual.
  • Operate and setup both spray and dip coat stations, setup and operate viscometers, mix coatings to specific mixes as specified in the work instructions.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • One year of manufacturing experience or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen including but not limited to testing for marijuana/THC.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
  • At least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

Desired Backgrounds

  • Associate's degree or above.
  • Certified Production Technician certification.
  • Vo-tech training or related coursework.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Ability to produce error-free products.

Skills

  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Hands-on work experience such as construction, slate/quarry work, auto mechanics, military, maintenance, heavy equipment operation, machining, assembly, or vocational/technical trade training.

Pay

The starting hourly rate is $32.62 per hour with pay progression every year for 6 years. Shift differential starts at 10% for off shifts.

Schedule

Shift work is 36 hours/week but will be paid 40 hours/week as a full-time employee. Available positions are on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shift, however the initial training period may be on 1st shift. Rutland offers a dynamic work schedule featuring 4 x 10-hour shifts, 5 x 8-hour shifts or 3 x 12-hour shifts on weekends. Starting dates are April 2026 forward.
