Formation operator I

About the role

Trojan Battery Company is looking for a committed and thorough person for the Formation I Operator role. (3rd shift)

Responsibilities

• On/off bear batteries from the production line
• Fill batteries with acid to the proper level
• Correctly apply caps on the batteries according to battery type
• Perform visual inspections for proper acid levels and cosmetic defects
• Commit to performing the role safely and wearing all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including a respirator

Requirements

• Ability to use hand tools and learn specific machine controls, gauges, etc.
• Ability to work in a lead acid battery manufacturing plant
• Capable of working in extreme temperatures and heavy environment is a plus
• Strong team skills
• Solve problems and recommend solutions
• Must be clean shaven

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or greater required
• 2-3 years’ manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent work history
• Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)

Skills

• Ability to lift 50-80 lbs.
• Standing for long periods of time
