Formation Operator I

About the role

Trojan Battery Company is looking for a committed and thorough person for the Formation I Operator role (3rd shift).

Responsibilities

• On/off bear batteries from the production line.
• Fill batteries with acid to the proper level.
• Correctly apply caps on the batteries according to battery type.
• Perform visual inspections for proper acid levels and cosmetic defects.
• Commit to performing the role safely and wearing all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including a respirator.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or greater required.
• 2-3 years’ manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent work history.
• Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Qualifications

• Must be clean shaven.
• All employees must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site.
• Capable of lifting 50-80 lbs. and standing for long periods of time.

Skills

• Ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to work in a lead acid battery manufacturing plant.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and heavy environments (a plus).
• Strong team skills.
• Solve problems and recommend solutions.
