Forklift Warehouse Operator

About the role

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver positions at Ryder offer weekly pay and excellent benefits in a clean, organized, and well-run facility. Products handled include automotive parts and supplies using sit-down forklifts and tuggers.

Pay

• Hourly Pay: $20.33 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $30.50 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.25 per hour when assigned to second shift

Schedule

• 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 4:00 pm - 12:30 am

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Accurately pick and pack products, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Punctual with a good attendance record
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision
• Possesses a high degree of initiative
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work using health and safety methods
• Available to work on a flexible schedule on various work shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
