About the role
In this role, you will help keep materials and products moving safely and accurately in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks with materials or finished goods.
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and ride-on equipment in warehouses, freezer, dock, and production areas.
- Move materials to production workstations, storage areas, and shipping/receiving locations.
- Use handheld RF scanners, complete inventory cycle counts, and help resolve discrepancies.
- Inspect equipment, complete daily pre-start checks, and report damages, shortages, or quality concerns.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe while following PPE, GMP, and company safety requirements.
Requirements
- Previous forklift warehouse experience required; food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with forklifts, reach trucks, ride-on equipment, or similar material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to safety.
- Comfort using RF scanners and maintaining accurate inventory information.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, including above shoulder height.
- Ability to work in cold/freezer areas, warm production spaces, and around powered moving equipment.
