Troubleshooting and Maintenance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot customer breakdowns
- Provide proper repairs to minimize equipment downtime
- Initiate estimates for on-site repairs
- Perform routine scheduled maintenance
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in factory specifications
Essential Functions
- Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools
- Review repair work and scheduled maintenance results with customers
- Communicate any potential issues to customers
- Utilize the Mobile Service application to close the day, fill out work orders, obtain customer signatures, finalize jobs, and mark them as complete
- Provide daily status updates to the dispatchers
- Review any customer issues or concerns with the dispatcher and account manager
Position Qualifications
- Educational requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or technical certification preferred
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a service technician role
- Skills: Previous experience with hydraulics and computer diagnostics; ability to interpret and apply schematic diagrams; valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; strong attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
