Position Overview The Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Technician repairs and maintains electric and propane industrial lift trucks, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and cherry pickers. They utilize manuals, hand tools, power tools, and possess knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Key Responsibilities Manage repairs including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and monitoring of MHE.Perform preventive maintenance following manufacturer guidelines, such as oil/filter changes, calibrations, and inspections.Log work and materials into computerized systems.Interpret plans, schematics, and manuals for repairs.Assist battery technicians with battery and charger repairs, watering, and spill cleanup.Support building and refrigeration maintenance activities, including electrical troubleshooting and repairs. Required Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of mechanical systems (transmissions, brakes, motors, steering).Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems and PLC controls.Experience with hydraulic schematics and components.1-2 years of relevant experience, especially with material handling equipment or automotive mechanics.High School Diploma or equivalent.
