Pay

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $24.64 plus benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Schedule

1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Thursday

Work Location: 1120 Industrial Ave, North Platte, NE

Responsibilities

• Transport product, raw materials, and other items within the manufacturing facility safely and efficiently
• Empty trash throughout the plant multiple times per day
• Coordinate sawdust and trash removal with outside companies
• Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance
• Operate forklift safely throughout the facility, adhering to all safety rules and regulations
• Work extended hours and overtime as needed
• Replace pallets/runners to maintain a safe working environment
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior forklift operation in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
• Demonstrated teamwork abilities
• Ability to multi-task and work independently or as part of a team
• Shift flexibility

Skills

• Self-driven, accountable, and high integrity
• Strong work ethic and open communication
• 2-3 years of experience in the field or related area (preferred)
• Knowledge of forklift safety procedures
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain detailed records
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook) with fast and accurate data entry (desirable but not required)

Physical Requirements

• Stand for 10-12 hours straight
• Mount and dismount forklift multiple times per day
• Climb and descend forklift as needed
• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Perform repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push, and pull 60 pounds)
• Withstand exposure to temperature extremes and uncomfortable noise levels
