Forklift Selector

About the Role

Responsible for ensuring that selection slots are consistently replenished during selection and that all replenished slots are rotated in FIFO (first-in-first-out) order.

Responsibilities

• Replenish selection slots during selection operations.
• Rotate product using FIFO (first-in-first-out) principles.
• Maintain cleaning and sanitation of the work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months of experience in a warehouse.
• Six (6) months of experience proficiently utilizing a stand-up forklift and riding pallet jack (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of fresh produce (preferred).
• Experience in replenishment, cycling of product, RF (radio frequency) scanners, and other returns-related functions (preferred).

Skills

• Strong reading, writing, and fluency in English.
• Ability to perform work assignments at an acceptable productivity level.
• Effective communication and professional interaction with others.

Physical Demands

• Stand for extended periods; bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, turn the body, and walk.
• Lift and move cases (up to 75 lbs) continuously to and from heights ranging from floor to knee, waist, shoulder, and overhead.
• Use hands and fingers to peel and stick labels on cases.
• Handle and feel objects and/or equipment controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to talk and hear, including hearing warning horns on moving machinery and equipment.
• Specific vision abilities: close and distance vision, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• High level of endurance, energy, and strength to successfully perform the position.

Work Environment

• Ability to work in confined spaces.
