Forklift Opr - B Shift - Wed-Sat 6pm to 6AM (Goodlettsville DC)

About the role

This position is responsible for product movement within the facility and/or loading product for shipment. This role involves operating machinery and maintaining ongoing production flow while ensuring a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Place and/or retrieve finished boxed product from coolers, trailers, and the production floor using a battery-powered forklift.
• Break down and/or stack products on wooden pallets to form complete pallets.
• Remove boxes of finished product from one pallet and place them onto other pallets to build full pallets.
• Dress appropriately before arriving at the workstation.

Requirements

• 3 months of forklift experience.
• Ability and willingness to perform the following physical requirements with or without a reasonable accommodation:
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull finished boxed products weighing between 5 and 80 pounds.
  • Lift and move wooden pallets weighing approximately 65 to 75 pounds.
  • Perform heavy lifting throughout the work shift.
  • Grasp and handle products using a bilateral full-hand grip when stacking and unstacking boxes and moving pallets.
  • Use a full-hand grip with the dominant hand to operate a forklift.
  • Stand on a forklift platform covered with a non-slip coating and stand/walk on cement floors when not operating equipment.
  • Bend at the waist while retrieving pallets and stacking or unstacking finished boxed products.
  • Use moderate force while performing job duties.
  • Use both hands simultaneously to perform essential job functions.
  • Work with pallet heights ranging from approximately 8 inches to 7 feet.
  • Work in temperatures ranging from approximately 28°F to 32°F.

Schedule

Wednesday to Saturday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

$22.10 per hour.
