About the Role
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of powered industrial trucks to load and unload trucks with raw materials and finished goods. They supply materials to production lines, remove finished products, and ensure adherence to safety guidelines, GMPs, and food safety standards. Additionally, they perform forklift inspections, maintain cleanliness, and may operate production machinery.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely, adhering to PPE and safety protocols.
- Load and unload trucks and transport materials within the warehouse using SAP and VMUs.
- Supply raw materials to production lines and remove finished goods.
- Perform pre-trip inspections and safe battery or tank changes.
- Maintain clean work areas and represent the company positively.
- Possibly operate production machinery as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Forklift certification from an approved trainer.
- Basic computer skills and ability to read and write instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with warehouse management software.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, and operate forklifts in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment
Operates in a fast-paced production setting with variable temperatures and noise levels, requiring PPE and physical agility. Overtime and varied shifts may be necessary. No travel is expected.
