Forklift Operator Trainer

About the role

Instruct new associates on safety protocols, operational processes, and standard operating procedures across various forklift models using Crown-approved training programs. Deliver certified training, maintain accurate associate records, and monitor daily floor operations to promote a safe, compliant, and productive work environment. Stay up-to-date on all safety rules, SOPs, and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Use materials handling equipment to stock, retrieve, lift, carry, move, and position merchandise or materials stored on various levels throughout the warehouse/crossdock
• Ensure safe operation of equipment to prevent damage to merchandise, equipment, or facilities
• Perform safety checks on lifts, reporting any damage prior to start and end of shift
• Maintain accurate inventory and report any discrepancies
• Perform routine equipment servicing, including attaching a battery charger, replenishing fuel, and checking for safety of operations
• Clean up and dispose of boxes, packing material, and pallets, as well as general housekeeping of facility and specific product line areas
• Rotate through different departments as necessary to meet business demands
• Participate in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position
• Perform all job tasks assigned by leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals

Requirements

• Basic English language proficiency
• Complete understanding of training and communication resources relevant to the position
• Awareness of loss prevention, security, and safety following company guidelines
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Attention to detail
