About the role
The Forklift Operator – Sit-Down is responsible for operating sit-down forklifts to transport materials throughout the warehouse and loading dock areas. This role ensures safe and efficient loading, unloading, and movement of goods to support daily logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials between dock, staging, and storage areas
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working condition
- Load and unload trailers while maintaining product integrity and proper weight distribution
- Accurately scan and track inventory movements using RF scanners or manual systems
- Ensure materials are properly staged and stored according to operational requirements
- Follow all safety standards, operating procedures, and company policies
Requirements
- 1 year experience operating sit-down forklift preferred
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
- Must be able to pass a physical fitness test
