Forklift Operator - Pallet Services

About the Role

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll move pallets and other materials through different areas of the warehouse, supporting production requirements, as well as loading and unloading customer trailers. This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site and may include additional tasks such as sorting and repairing wooden pallets by hand.

Responsibilities

• Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging areas using Relogistics forklift equipment, adhering to company safety procedures at all times.
• Hand-sort wooden pallets when required.
• Repair wooden pallets using a nail gun when required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• 1-3 years of forklift experience.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to work in a labor-intensive environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment

• Ability to work in extreme conditions, including elements, heat, cold, and air particulate.
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for entire shifts of varying lengths.
• The noise level in the work environment varies by location.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes).
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs.

Pay

Hourly Pay: $18.00/hr.

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-5:30pm
• 3rd Shift: Friday-Sunday, 5:00am-5:30pm
