Forklift Operator - Pallet Services

About the role

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll move pallets and other materials through the warehouse, support production requirements, and load/unload customer trailers. You may also sort and repair wooden pallets by hand. This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site.

Responsibilities

• Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging areas using Relogistics forklift equipment
• Operate forklifts with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times
• Hand-sort wooden pallets when required
• Repair wooden pallets using a nail gun when required
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Forklift certification preferred
• 1-3 years of forklift experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred
• Willingness to work in a labor-intensive environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Willing to work overtime as needed

Work Environment

• Ability to work in extreme conditions including elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for entire shifts of varying lengths
• The noise level in the work environment varies by location
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs.

Pay

USD $18.00 per hour

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–5:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM
