Forklift Operator - Pallet Services
About the Role
This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site! As a Forklift Operator, you’ll move pallets and other materials through the warehouse, support production requirements, and load/unload customer trailers. You may also sort and repair wooden pallets by hand.
The work environment includes extreme conditions such as elements, heat, cold, and air particulate. You will repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for entire shifts. The noise level varies by location, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection at several locations, safety shoes). Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision. You may be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment
- Operate forklifts with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times
- Hand-sort wooden pallets when required
- Repair wooden pallets using a nail gun when required
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Forklift certification preferred
- 1-3 years of forklift experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred
- Willingness to work in a labor-intensive environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Willing to work overtime as needed
Pay
USD $20.00 per hour
Schedule
2nd Shift: Friday - Monday, 7:00am - 5:30pm
