Forklift Operator - Pallet Manufacturing

About the role

Load and unload trailers with wooden pallets and move pallets inside our plants to keep manufacturing production moving efficiently. Maintain a safe working environment by lifting, stacking, and transporting materials with all other plant personnel in mind.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries of pallets and/or wood to the proper location inside the plant
• Move freshly cut and recycled wood to the appropriate worktable area
• Stack finished products into trailers or to storage areas up to a safe height

Requirements

• 1-3 years of forklift experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred
• Willingness to work in a labor-intensive environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Willing to work overtime as needed
• Repetitively lift up to 50-75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for entire shifts of varying lengths in time
• Ability to work in extreme conditions including elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision

Pay

USD $20.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM
