Forklift Operator - Pallet Services

Relogistics is part of the largest pallet management services company in North America, providing end-to-end pallet solutions from supply to retrieval, on-site services, reverse logistics, and packaging materials.

About the role

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll move pallets and other materials through warehouse areas to support production, load and unload customer trailers, and take on additional tasks such as hand-sorting and repairing wooden pallets. This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site.

• Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment
• Operate forklifts with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times
• Hand-sort wooden pallets when required
• Repair wooden pallets using a nail gun when required
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

The work environment includes extreme conditions such as elements, heat, cold, and air particulate. You will repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for entire shifts of varying lengths. The noise level varies by location, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection at several locations, safety shoes). Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. You may also be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Forklift certification preferred
• 1-3 years of forklift experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred
• Willingness to work in a labor-intensive environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Willing to work overtime as needed

Pay

USD $17.00 per hour

Schedule

1st Shift, Tuesday–Friday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
