Forklift Operator I

About the role

The Forklift Operator I position at Berlin Packaging is responsible for prepping shipments, loading, and unloading product, and supporting general warehouse operations using warehouse equipment. Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, hand truck / warehouse carts, pallet jack, and/or other equipment in a professional and safe manner
• Organize and prepare customer orders with a high degree of quality and accuracy
• Transfer supplies from department to department to meet production or shipping demand
• Properly store and label all materials and finished product
• May prepare billing processes and paperwork for warehouse and drop ship orders
• May be required to record transactions via computer in ERP system
• Perform cycle counting as required
• Notify leadership of non-compliant warehousing activities
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized to cGMP standards
• Comply with all ISO standards
• Support company and branch metrics
• Fulfill the employee portion of the Berlin Values
• Perform other tasks as required

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED
• Prior warehouse and forklift operator experience
• Ability to take and pass the Company Forklift Certification program
• High attention to detail
• Positive attitude and contributions to a positive team culture
• Self-motivated; reliable, with strong initiative and results orientation
• Basic computer skills

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Pay

IL Base Pay Range: $19 USD - $22 USD
