Forklift Operator FT

About the role

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for full-time Forklift Operators at its West Columbia, SC service center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be tasked with moving all different types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53’ long, operating a forklift on a roofed but non‑climate‑controlled dock. R+L Carriers is a family‑owned, privately held transportation company founded in 1965, dedicated to superior service through efficient administration and innovative thinking.

Responsibilities

• Move various types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53’ long.
• Operate a forklift on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.

Requirements

• Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to read manifests.
• Ability to read and interact with a computer display.
• Forklift experience.
• Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Skills (Preferred)

• Previous forklift experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Some LTL experience.

Pay

Hourly rate: $22.33 per hour.

Schedule

Third shift, full‑time, Monday – Friday, 1:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
