Forklift Operator FT

About the role

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for Full-time Forklift Operators at our Baltimore, MD service center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be tasked with moving all different types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53' long. You will be operating a forklift on a roofed but non-climate-controlled dock.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Operate a forklift to load and unload cargo from trucks and trailers.
• Read and interpret manifests and interact with a computer display to ensure accurate handling of freight.
• Bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty as required for various tasks.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and be dependable.

Requirements

• Must be able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to read manifests and interact with a computer display.
• Forklift experience, especially in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous LTL experience preferred.

Skills

Must have the ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Forklift training is not mandatory but recommended.

Pay

$25.28 per hour, starting salary.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, various shifts available.
