About the Role
Warehouse associates are the foundation of our company’s success. As a Forklift Operator, Formula, you will operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, reach truck, etc.) to transport incoming freight, maintain inventory, and replenish pick slots while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards. You must be prepared to work in any section of the warehouse, including the freezer.
Responsibilities
- Locate proper slots on storage racks, place pallets using a forklift or hand-stack items, and enter product data into the system.
- Transport incoming freight from staging areas to inventory, including freezer storage, using a forklift or pallet jack.
- Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items based on next day’s work orders.
- Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of racks and remove outdated inventory per company policy.
- Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
- Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and strapping to designated receptacles.
- Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack them, and move them to proper storage areas.
- Follow all safety policies, preferred work methods, and company guidelines.
- Report unsafe conditions or acts immediately and ensure the work area is safe.
- Perform safety checks on equipment, obtain necessary supplies, and prepare for operations.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
- Meet productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
- Work from receiving sheets, computer print-outs, or verbal instructions to inspect items for damage, perform temperature/quality checks, and take appropriate action.
- Maintain general housekeeping in the work area.
- Replace batteries requiring recharging and complete vehicle inspection checklists.
- Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Stand-up forklift experience (Raymond preferred).
- 1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience, preferably in food distribution.
- Able to work scheduled/assigned times and required overtime.
- Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Able to lift, stack, or pull products from shelves at various heights, weighing between 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds, depending on location.
- Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, and dry).
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Pay
$16–$21 per hour (negotiable)
