1st Shift

2nd Shift
2PM - 10PM; Monday - Friday; Saturdays as needed

10PM - 6AM; Sunday - Thursday; Fridays as needed

6AM - 6PM or 6PM - 6AM
Performs all activities related to the shipping and receiving material handling functions for the company, providing supplies and raw material to the production line, loading finished product onto trucks for shipments and unloading incoming raw material and supplies, completing inspections, paperwork, and maintaining accurate inventory records in compliance with all safety, food safety, quality, SQF, GMP and USDA requirements.
Follows all safety rules and regulations per established company policies.
Conducts a daily walk-through of the production areas, taking a visual inventory to determine supply needs, including boxes, salt, film, labels, pallets, tear sheets, collagen, etc.
Completes appropriate documentation on the Product Transfer Log for all refrigerated/edible raw material and finished goods.
Receives inbound blend shipments, entering vat label date, time, license number, lot number, gross and net tare weight, and vat temperature information into the Blend Receiving Log.
Receives inbound blend shipments; unloads trucks and delivers product to the appropriate locations.
Completes Raw Material Inspections of all inbound shipments.
Checks received items to verify the correct product and numbers were delivered, and were received undamaged; enters product information, date and quantity, batch number information, etc. from packing slip onto the Receiving Log as necessary.
Confirms exceptions and unusual deliveries; tracks the order back to the originator internally to verify.
Loads trucks properly for shipment of finished product per the Bill of Lading, determining what to ship and monitoring the code dates, item dates, number of full and partial pallets.
Ensures the correct paperwork is completed and accompanies each shipment.
Stages product for the production lines and blenders as needed.
Operates the baler to compact corrugated cardboard for recycling.
Maintains the recycling gaylords for pick up.
Transfers finished goods from the Final Pack to cooler.
Consolidates all #2 product at the warehouse.
Conducts physical inventory of the warehouse; completes and submits the appropriate paperwork.
Verifies forklift equipment is in good operating condition prior to operating at the start of the shift; follows all established forklift safety procedures.
Performs sanitation duties that include the following: sweeps the palletizing and shipping coolers; cleans walls, door frames, and support beams as time allows; mops and straightens both coolers; vacuums behind the forklift bump guards along racking; and cleans vats as needed.
Performs all weekly sanitation duties.
Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as required.
Assists with rework activities as needed.
Provides backup assistance in Palletizing and production as needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned by the facilitator.
Education
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalency is normally required.
Experience
Previous forklift experience is required.
Previous material handling, shipping and/or receiving experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
Skills
Must possess good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as packing slips, bills of material, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook
Previous experience with Sage financial software or related integrated ERP manufacturing software systems is strongly preferred
Must have accurate basic math skills
Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.
Other Requirements
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and caustic chemicals.
Frequent exposure to temperatures ranging from 35° F to 100° F, loud and slippery conditions in the various production work areas.
Partners are required personal protection equipment (PPE) at all times on the production floor.
While performing the duties of this job, the partner is frequently required to stand for extended periods; walk; sit and talk or hear.
The partner is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, with repetitive motions of hands, arms and shoulders.
The partner must regularly lift up to 40# and periodically lift and/or move up to 50 #.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, far vision, color vision and depth perception.
