Forklift Operator Distribution Order Picking

About the Role

Dometic is a global market leader in the mobile living industry, providing high-end products for recreational vehicles, commercial passenger vehicles, and overlanding vehicles. We are seeking a passionate Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our team at the Industrial Parkway facility in Elkhart, IN. In this role, you will ensure products are shipped correctly and on time, as well as receive products for the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times.
• Remove shipped products from delivery vehicles into designated storage areas.
• Inventory items received or shipped, checking against packing lists and recording discrepancies, shortages, or damages on shipping reports.
• Pull stored materials for orders and move to the shipping area.
• Perform repetitive work to load products, parts, or materials into designated packages, boxes, crates, or other receptacles.
• Work with cardboard, paper, plastic, or other materials to pack containers.
• Track items placed into containers and review packing lists to ensure all required items are included.
• Operate a forklift for moving or stacking materials when needed.
• Perform the job duties of the receiving and shipping departments.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. required; additional education or certifications highly preferred.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to work with RF scanning devices, computers, and other electronic equipment.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
• Knowledge of the D365 system and Windows applications preferred but not required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to follow directions.
• Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per day.
• Physically capable of completing essential functions, including pushing/pulling, climbing/balancing, stooping/bending, reaching/grasping, and heavy lifting/carrying up to 75 pounds.
