TITLE: Warehouse Forklift Operator
DIVISION: Warehouse
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt / Hourly

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials.
- Perform routine pre- and post-inspections on forklift equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including forklifts and warehouse spaces.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and observing traffic rules within the warehouse.
- Aid in inventory control by accurately counting and recording merchandise as it is moved.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow.
- Report any forklift malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and hygiene.
- Participate in training programs and meetings to enhance job knowledge and skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience operating forklift.
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy objects and operate equipment in tight spaces.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and recording inventory.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar environment, preferably in the food industry.
