Forklift Operator

About the role

This position offers the opportunity to join our 1st and 2nd shift teams. We are seeking a well-qualified Reach Truck/Forklift Operator to safely operate powered industrial vehicles and manual lifting devices to load/unload and transport material.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and manual lifting devices to deliver material to production machines/workstations;
• Distribute material/inventory using the first in-first out method;
• Manually or mechanically load or unload material from pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles;
• Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the facility;
• Organize all production material and inventory; use RF Scanner to scan material to appropriate locations and verify quantities are accurate; restock material in floor and rack locations;
• Avoid stockouts by ensuring all necessary inventory is available for production use and coordinate the ordering of material/inventory;
• Complete daily inspection of equipment and communicate maintenance needs or damage; charge/fill batteries;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operation and training of powered equipment with a clear understanding of forklift operations, weight capacities, and attachments;
• 2+ years of steady experience operating a Reach Truck;
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Excellent performer; deliver high-quality results consistently;
• High level of professionalism and a positive attitude;
• Able to work well with and motivate a team;
• Fluent in English and authorized to work in the United States.

Pay

The base hourly rate of pay starts at $22.00 per hour or more depending on experience. 2nd Shift receives a $1.00 differential.

Schedule

1st shift: 6:00am-2:30pm or 7:00am to 3:30pm
2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm or 3:00pm-11:30pm.
