What Does a Forklift Operator Do?
The forklift operator moves products or materials in a production or warehouse environment using powered industrial equipment and/or vehicles with an extremely high focus on safety and the safety of others. Work is conducted in a very fast-paced environment where productivity expectations are high.
Job Details
- Schedule: 5:00am to 1:30pm Mon - Fri. Hours/days subject to change based on business needs.
- Pay: $21.67/HR
- Job Level: 2
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial forklift and vehicles to relocate product within a warehouse or production facility
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to designated areas after the product is produced
- Load and unload trailers, trucks, or pallets for delivery
- Ensure that products are stacked and stored in compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Forklift certified or willing to be trained and become certified within 1 month
- Driving record must meet Swire’s vehicle policy
- Work weekends and holidays as directed by the business
- Lift 50 pounds
