Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift within authorized work areas.
- Stage, inspect, label, and load outgoing finished goods.
- Perform daily inspection of forklift to ensure its safety and operation; Report any findings to appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations within the industry and the organization.
- Organize and document warehouse contents; Maintain count of products pulled from production line.
- Ensure timely completion and processing of all paperwork and forward as needed.
- Occasionally print bills of lading for outgoing goods.
- Help maintain facility/work area housekeeping.
Position Requirements/Qualifications
- Prior work experience operating a forklift.
- Good working knowledge of DOT and OSHA laws/ regulations related to this line of work and possess a high regard for safety and integrity.
- Ideal candidate’s driving record should be blemish-free.
- Candidate with a service-oriented, “Can-do” attitude is a plus!
- CDL is a plus, but not required
- High School Diploma/GED required
Physical Requirements And Work Environment
- Ability to physically lift and carry approximately 50-100 lbs for short distances.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (12 hours minimum).
- Ability to work in extreme environmental temperatures.
- Ability to work overtime and occasionally do so on short notice.
