Forklift Operator

About the role

The Forklift Operator supports warehouse operations by safely and efficiently loading, unloading, and moving finished pet food products within a high-volume distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (sit-down or stand-up) to handle products accurately and safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and damage prevention.
• Use RF equipment and paperwork to facilitate stock rotation using FIFO methodology.
• Perform daily forklift maintenance checks and report repairs needed.
• Assist with case picking, staging finished goods, and building pallets for shipment.
• Inspect products for damage and ensure quality checks are complete prior to shipping.
• Maintain productivity, utilization, and efficiency standards in warehouse tasks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar environment.
• Proficiency with RF scan guns and slip-sheet operations preferred.
• Ability to perform daily maintenance and report issues.

Schedule

Schedule may include 2nd or 3rd shifts, with overtime and weekend work required.

Pay

Compensation around $30.88 per hour.
