About the role
The Forklift Operator supports warehouse operations by safely and efficiently loading, unloading, and moving finished pet food products within a high-volume distribution environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts (sit-down or stand-up) to handle products accurately and safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and damage prevention.
- Use RF equipment and paperwork to facilitate stock rotation using FIFO methodology.
- Perform daily forklift maintenance checks and report repairs needed.
- Assist with case picking, staging finished goods, and building pallets for shipment.
- Inspect products for damage and ensure quality checks are complete prior to shipping.
- Maintain productivity, utilization, and efficiency standards in warehouse tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of forklift experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar environment.
- Proficiency with RF scan guns and slip-sheet operations preferred.
- Ability to perform daily maintenance and report issues.
Schedule
Schedule may include 2nd or 3rd shifts, with overtime and weekend work required.
Pay
Compensation around $30.88 per hour.
