Responsibilities
- Operate forklift to load, unload, and transfer products, pallets, boxes, and other materials within the warehouse and into trucks and/or railcars according to shipping schedule
- Operate other equipment for shipping, as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory while storing and loading, practicing first in/first out
- Monitor all equipment for wear and potential damage, and perform related preventative maintenance as required
- Maintain Master Sanitation Schedules and other HAACP documentation, performing scheduled cleaning of equipment
- Re-palletize and rework products, and prepare products for regrind process
- Maintain safety and quality in a high-paced environment
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience operating a forklift Experience in a food manufacturing facility
Physical Requirements
- Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Crouch, stoop, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, operate foot pedals, lift/carry, sit, stand and walk for extended periods
- Work in a dusty, high heat/humid environment and confined spaces
