About The Role

The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within a warehouse or distribution center.

• Operate various types of forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport goods to designated locations.
• Contribute to maintaining an organized inventory system by accurately picking and placing orders using RF scanners and other warehouse technology.
• Safety and compliance with operational protocols are paramount to prevent accidents and damage to products or equipment.
• Support the overall supply chain process by facilitating timely and accurate material handling to meet business demands.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Basic understanding of warehouse safety protocols and material handling procedures.
• Able to read and interpret inventory documents and use RF scanning technology.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating multiple types of forklifts including stand-up forklifts and clamp trucks.
• Familiarity with general warehouse operations and order picking processes.
• Previous experience working with electric pallet jacks and other powered industrial trucks.
• Knowledge of warehouse management software and inventory control systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, stand-up forklifts, and clamp trucks to move materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of items to prevent damage during transport.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, track, and record inventory movements.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure all machinery is in safe working condition.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
