About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Forklift Operator to support our warehouse operations. In this role, you will safely operate a forklift to move products, equipment, and materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and a clean work environment. Core hours are 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend flexibility for troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and adhere to company safety policies and GMP guidelines.
- Transport finished goods and materials to designated areas within the facility.
- Move pallets of goods for in-process jobs to appropriate locations.
- Place finished goods on designated pallets in correct storage areas.
- Complete forklift operator’s checklist accurately and notify supervisors of mechanical or material issues.
- Coordinate with managers to align production lines and optimize schedules for cost, quality, and delivery goals.
- Conduct physical inventory counts and daily inventory audits as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by organizing stock, removing empty pallets, and ensuring orderly storage.
- Update stock locations in paperwork and computer systems (WMS).
- Assist other forklift operators and supervisors in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Complete production, safety, quality, and operational reports accurately and on time.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Forklift License required.
- High School diploma or equivalent desired.
- Prior forklift or warehouse experience; corrugated industry experience preferred.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations with some leadership responsibilities is a plus.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work on a rotating shift if required.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic math calculations (percentages, measurements, volume, rates).
- Ability to follow written, verbal, or graphic instructions.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift/push/pull 25–50 lbs.
- Safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe operation.
Pay
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $16.50 – $22.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
