About the role

Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials to and from the production floor.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain a copy of the production schedule and transport materials to and from designated areas in the facility.
  • Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage/production area.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Manage the shipping and receiving schedule.
  • Check incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Stack goods in the correct areas, following inventory control instructions.
  • Check loads are secure.
  • Stack empty pallets.
  • Assist in unloading tankers.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork with a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in the production area.
  • Practice proper safety techniques.
  • Complete general area maintenance duties on equipment as assigned, including collaborating with the maintenance department when necessary.
  • Follow all procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or requested.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • One year of logistics experience.
