ForkLift Operator

About the role

The individual's primary responsibilities include safely operating the standup forklift to load, unload & put away product. May also operate other equipment and breakdown and receive products from vendors.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to operate powered material handling equipment (standing Stock Picker forklift) safely.
• Individual will be certified in use of equipment.
• Must be able to meet department productivity KPI standards.
• Motivates others when change occurs to obtain positive results.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. on a continual basis.
• Attention to detail is a must, incoming orders must be received and put-away in a timely manner (48 hour window).
• Additionally, the receiving department also handles replenishment of stock from bulk bins to primary locations.
• Good work ethics and ability to interface effectively with others in the company.
• All work areas must be kept clean and free of debris.
• Individual may be assigned to other warehouse duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read and write English.
• Must be able to learn to use computer and radio frequency devices (RF gun).
• Must be forklift certified and be able to use an order picker (train).
• Must be reliable and on-time to work each day.
• Ability to work with others in a fast-paced team environment.
• Employee is required to stand up to 8 hours per day on the forklift.
• Saturday work is 6 hours in duration and is usually scheduled 2 per month.

Schedule

The normal work hours are Monday through Friday. Occasionally it may be necessary for this individual to work outside of their normal scheduled hours; according to business needs. Overtime must be approved by your manager.
