About the role
The individual's primary responsibilities include safely operating the standup forklift to load, unload & put away product. May also operate other equipment and breakdown and receive products from vendors.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to operate powered material handling equipment (standing Stock Picker forklift) safely.
- Individual will be certified in use of equipment.
- Must be able to meet department productivity KPI standards.
- Motivates others when change occurs to obtain positive results.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. on a continual basis.
- Attention to detail is a must, incoming orders must be received and put-away in a timely manner (48 hour window).
- Additionally, the receiving department also handles replenishment of stock from bulk bins to primary locations.
- Good work ethics and ability to interface effectively with others in the company.
- All work areas must be kept clean and free of debris.
- Individual may be assigned to other warehouse duties as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to read and write English.
- Must be able to learn to use computer and radio frequency devices (RF gun).
- Must be forklift certified and be able to use an order picker (train).
- Must be reliable and on-time to work each day.
- Ability to work with others in a fast-paced team environment.
- Employee is required to stand up to 8 hours per day on the forklift.
- Saturday work is 6 hours in duration and is usually scheduled 2 per month.
