Responsibilities
- Operate various types of powered industrial material handling equipment to transport inventory to/from storage and staging areas.
- Load/unload freight onto/from containers and trailers.
- Verify inbound deliveries against manifests to verify product and quantity accuracy.
- Utilize RF Scanners to pick and/or pack customer orders ensuring accuracy of type and quantity of all components.
- Select and construct appropriate packaging materials to ensure safe transport of product to final destination.
- Utilize RF Scanners, Computers, and scales to process orders for shipment.
- Maintain facility equipment by performing daily safety inspections and monitoring power supply.
- Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
- Ability to carry and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand and walk or move around for extended periods.
- Repetitive pushing, pulling, and bending required.
- Ability to read work orders, pick lists, and/or assimilate verbal work instructions.
Qualifications
- Prior distribution center/warehouse operations experience preferred.
- Prior powered material handling equipment experience and/or certifications preferred.
