Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of powered industrial material handling equipment to transport inventory to/from storage and staging areas.
• Load/unload freight onto/from containers and trailers.
• Verify inbound deliveries against manifests to verify product and quantity accuracy.
• Utilize RF Scanners to pick and/or pack customer orders ensuring accuracy of type and quantity of all components.
• Select and construct appropriate packaging materials to ensure safe transport of product to final destination.
• Utilize RF Scanners, Computers, and scales to process orders for shipment.
• Maintain facility equipment by performing daily safety inspections and monitoring power supply.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
• Ability to carry and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and walk or move around for extended periods.
• Repetitive pushing, pulling, and bending required.
• Ability to read work orders, pick lists, and/or assimilate verbal work instructions.

Qualifications

• Prior distribution center/warehouse operations experience preferred.
• Prior powered material handling equipment experience and/or certifications preferred.
