Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
- Unloads and stacks material on and off a commercial flatbed trailer using an industrial forklift.
- Operate a scan gun used to track inventory movements.
- Keeps material stacked evenly, safely, and in an organized manner.
- Identify all different sizes and treatments of lumber that is manufactured at the plant.
- Responds promptly to customer and plant needs through the safe and efficient loading and unloading of trucks.
- Maintains organization of product in all warehouses.
- Absorbs and responds to customer feedback.
- Assists in picking up lumber and other materials due to spills.
- Assists in housekeeping and clean-up activities as needed.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; meets productivity standards; completes work promptly; strives to increase productivity.
- Able to read and interpret written information; able to effectively communicate with supervisor and other employees as needed within the scope of the job.
- Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
- Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
Qualifications
- The individual must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Be able to communicate effectively.
- Have a clear command of the English language.
- Be able to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
- The employee is required to get on and off the lift and restack lumber.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- Lumber experience is a plus!
