Forklift Operator
About the role
We're seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Federalsburg, MD. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials and products.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and clamp trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials
- Ensure damage-free stacking of products
- Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and warehouse guidelines
- Manage customer requirements and storage logistics
- Cook with departments for effective inventory management
Requirements
- At least 6 months of forklift or warehouse experience (clamp truck experience preferred)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification
- Ability to demonstrate basic math calculations and dimensional counting skills
- Demonstrate minimum proficiency with the English language for effective new hire training
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe equipment operation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Pay
Starting pay: $21.00/hour
Schedule
Work a rotating 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts, giving you every other weekend off. Available shift: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (includes $2/hour shift premium)
