Job Description
Position Overview: This Is a Dual Position: The forklift operator ensures the packaging, handling, and shipment of a quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Location: Bradley, IL
Salary: $25.51- $ 27.01 per hour – Forklift Driver

Forklift Operator Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Plant Shipping Supervisor, the Forklift Driver/Operators responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules
- Operates sit-down propane forklift to transport inventory and load tractor trailers for shipment
- Transports inventory in warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment
- Understands daily production schedule and corresponds with management, leads, and coworkers accordingly
- Performs visual inspection of aluminum cans and packaging quality
- Maintains schedules, equipment, or processes, and reports problems to Supervisor
- Follows all SOP’s (standard operating procedures) and communicates with proper personnel as concerns or issues arise
- Affixes assist Quality Assurance in locating pallets for sampling
- Performs other related duties as required
Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 years old
- High School diploma or G.E.D preferred
- Equivalent with 3+ years working on a sit-down forklift experience required
- Working in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred)
- Must be able to withstand extreme climate changes especially during summer and winter months
- Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time
- Effective record keeping skills and the ability to focus on details
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods as well as work on elevated stationary platforms and withstand extreme climate changes especially during summer months
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, either nights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., or days from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., weekends and overtime as business needs dictate
- This position requires union membership after 30 days of hire
Preferred Requirements
- OSHA/Forklift Trainer Certified
- Beverage Packaging industry experience
- Knowledge of AS400
