Responsibilities
- Prepare and transport material to various departments in the plant and stock materials in racks.
- Perform necessary inspections of forklift and complete OSHA checklist.
- Open dock doors and remove chains/lower ramp gate upon arrival of trucks.
- Respond to emails regarding pressing matters and check on the status of delayed trucks.
- Unload trucks using forklift.
- Document materials received in inventory.
- Verify pack lists of all materials received.
- Scan in and label (if needed) all materials.
- Distribute received materials to appropriate departments or designated areas.
- Clean and organize area, sort and put away any additional stock.
- Verify all paperwork to completion and return to the inventory department for counts.
Job Duties
- Minimum of 6 months experience operating stand-up reach forklift.
- Sit-down forklift experience preferred.
- Utilize an RF gun scanner to scan orders/labels.
- Avoid errors in order delivery.
- Take material off conveyor belts.
- Strap material if necessary.
- Stock material in racks or bins for production.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Regularly stand, kneel, bend, twist, and walk.
- Frequent hand use for finger, handling, feeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent communication with other employees.
- Ability to hear warning signals, forklifts, and announcements.
- Occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Wear safety glasses and work gloves.
Working Conditions
- Indoor manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels.
- May require hearing protection.
- May require safety glasses.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work required.
