Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading materials in a manufacturing setting
- Transporting material scrap to designated location(s)
- Transporting materials to different locations within the facility
- Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency
- Securing loads to the machine before transportation
- Inspecting for damages to vehicles
- Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs
- Performing general clean-up tasks to keep work area clean and free of excess debris
- Operating and managing technical equipment
- Identifying workplace safety hazards
- Adhering to safety management standards
- Adhering to production schedules
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- Previous forklift experience required
- Valid forklift certification (Accurus Provided)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Mathematical aptitude
- Good organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a combination of locations including office and the manufacturing shop environment where working conditions vary significantly
- Mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and may include eye and hand protection, safety footwear, and hearing protection
- The Employee Will Be Exposed To:
- Excessive noise (regularly)
- Dust, smoke, fumes/vapors (regularly)
- Extreme temperatures (occasionally)
- Hazardous equipment including forklifts, hand tools, cranes or other lifting devices, complex machining centers and other equipment used in a machine shop environment (occasionally)
