Forklift Operator - 3rd Shift

Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries, moving them to and from storage areas, machines, loading docks, trucks, or storage facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain a copy of the production schedule or shipping order and transport material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
  • Provide raw or WHIP stock to production machines per the production schedule.
  • Load and unload goods from vehicles.
  • Move goods packed on pallets or slip sheets around the storage facility.
  • Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
  • Check loads are secure.
  • Stack empty pallets.
  • Perform daily equipment checks on forklifts, per OSHA guidelines.
  • Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Dump materials into machine hoppers.
  • Perform any other job duties that may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Good math, language, and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required.
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others and promote a safe work environment.
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • May be required to use an RF scanner gun.
  • Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license may be required.
  • Forklift certification per OSHA standards.
  • Class A license preferred, but not required.
