Forklift Operator - 3rd Shift - 6pm - 4:30am -Mon, Tue, Wed & Thurs

About the role

The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the Operations Department under the supervision of the Distribution Manager. This position requires flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supports business goals by working the hours needed, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Remains punctual and prepared for work, completing tasks in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner.
• Maintains a positive attitude and follows company values.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and department meetings.
• Displays pride in the work area by maintaining daily housekeeping.
• Assists in all areas and processes in the operation as needed.
• Maintains high standards of quality despite deadlines.
• Fulfills productivity standards specific to the assigned account.
• Ensures proper scanning and handling of products according to SOPs and customer work instructions.
• Reports all issues related to safety and equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and reports discrepancies to supervisors.
• Adapts to changing job tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Ability to use handheld RF Scan Device.
• Physical capabilities to lift 50 lbs, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring twisting, stooping, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level.
• Knowledge of multiple accounts and/or job functions within the given operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience operating forklifts and similar equipment.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution setting preferred.

Pay

Salary range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.
