Forklift Operator - 3rd shift - 6:00PM to 4:30AM, Tues, Wed, Thurs & Fri

About the role

The Forklift Operator position within the Operations department reports directly to the Distribution Manager. This role is full-time, working a rotating third shift from 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Works the hours needed to support business goals including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Remains open-minded and performs a wide variety of job tasks, transitioning effectively between tasks.
• Always present and punctual, arriving prepared for work.
• Completes work in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner.
• Presents a professional appearance and follows the established dress code guidelines.
• Maintains high standards despite pressing deadlines, producing accurate, thorough, and professional work.
• Shares all information in a professional and factual manner to ensure the best decisions for the company.
• Follows all written and verbal instructions provided by management, project leaders, etc.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and department meetings.
• Displays pride in the work area by maintaining daily housekeeping of the operations building, equipment, break rooms, restrooms, smoke areas, etc.
• Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are error and damage-free.
• Ensures product is scanned properly and matches the Item code on the product, pick lists, stocking lists, and physical product.
• Completes all Inbound and Outbound paperwork accurately and completely.
• Reports all product damage to the supervisor/manager.
• Fulfills safety and security policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Follows established Dock Safety policy, completes lift inspections, and reports all equipment malfunctions to the manager or maintenance immediately.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and reports all discrepancies to the supervisor/manager.
• Knowledgeable about multiple accounts and/or job functions within the given operation.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Ability to use handheld RF Scan Device.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
• Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

Benefits

• Shift Differential of $1.50 per hour for 3rd shift work.
• Competitive pay rate of $18.50 per hour.
