Job Summary
Trident Seafoods is North America's largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company. This position drives industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices to move products, equipment, or materials.
Essential Functions
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
- Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
- Inventory materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
- Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
- Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
- Lubricates truck, recharges/changes batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
- May be assigned work in Subzero freezer area with proper company PPE provided.
- Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices.

- Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices.
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
Minimum Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be forklift certified, or able to become forklift certified. Must be able to qualify for lift truck certification within 2 weeks of assignment into job function.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee moves objects regularly up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
