Position Summary

Crescent Forklift Operators are responsible for moving materials throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently, providing logistics services to both internal and external customers.

Safety

  • Read, understand, and follow the Doing it Safe Playbook
  • Comply with all safety requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
  • Complete forklift and trailer inspection forms accurately and according to procedure
  • Operate forklift in a safe manner in various environments

People

  • Motivated member of the Crescent team
  • Work well in high-paced environments
  • Work closely with other FLO’s, Line Leads, Shipping and Receiving, and Supervisors
  • Quickly learn tasks, layouts, and customer requirements
  • Operate warehouse management system

Productivity

  • Operate forklift efficiently to maximize productive time
  • Communicate with Production to prioritize, pull, and stage inventory accurately
  • Load and unload trailers to maintain turnaround times
  • Communicate with lead and supervisor to maintain good workflow
  • Reach pallets per hour productivity standard

Quality

  • Load trucks according to Crescent and Customer requirements
  • Avoid damage to products and customer brands
  • Maintain customer or inventory separation when required

Customer Value

  • Handle customer owned product with care
  • Provide on-time delivery for each customer request
  • Identify and participate in continuous improvement efforts

Financial

  • Provide ideas to continually improve productivity, GMP's, and RSW
  • Seek out means to remove sources of waste throughout the warehouse
  • Look for ways to increase sustainability

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and communicate effectively
  • Regulatory GMP manufacturing experience and Lean manufacturing experience preferred
