About the role
The Forklift Operator - Receiving position is available for a second shift from 1 PM to 9 PM, with additional hours until 11 PM on Saturdays. The wage is $20.31 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential.
Responsibilities
- Operate Dock Stocker and High Reach forklifts to safely unload shipments and transport products to designated warehouse storage areas.
- Complete orders efficiently by processing pick tickets, performing full pallet picking, and shuttling pallets for final order processing using scanners and computers.
- Interact with management software systems and label printers; read work orders or receive instructions to determine assignments and material needs.
- Perform physical activities requiring lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and safe handling of materials.
- Maintain a clean, debris-free, and safe work area at all times.
- Support cross-training in other distribution center functions and perform other duties assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-2 years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Ability to obtain forklift operator certification.
- Broad knowledge of distribution center methods and procedures.
- Familiarity with product catalog numbers and handling characteristics.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Resilience to work in environments with extreme temperatures.
- Ability to work in a scanner-directed job and operate a stand-up forklift for the entire shift.
