Forklift Operator 1st shift Receiving

About the role

The Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting the supply chain through collecting, loading, shipping, and receiving warehouse products. The role involves operating technical equipment, optimizing loading for efficient logistics, and supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal business operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
• Perform cycle counts as required
• Cover and work in different areas of the receiving department, including crane, sweeper machine, and compactors
• Identify safety hazards in the workplace
• Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods
• Perform area maintenance as needed
• Operate additional equipment such as crane and sweeper machine
• Assist in the compactor area

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of forklift operating experience or a combination of forklift experience and material handling work (highly preferred)
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually, above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to walk and stand for long durations (full shift excluding breaks)
• Vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, color, and depth differentiation
• Use of hands and fingers for fine manipulation
• Ability to perform tasks involving climbing and kneeling
• Frequent exposure to dust, debris, and loud noises from the production process
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Pay

Base pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule

1st Shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday
