About the role

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in North Charleston, South Carolina. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors.
  • Operate propane sit-down forklifts, manual pallet jacks, and computers (Microsoft Office).
  • Enter orders into a WMS system.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Handle paperwork in a warehouse environment, including picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
  • Support the automated packing system during peak production hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Able to work within a diverse work environment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and stand for long periods.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Able to work within a diverse work environment.
  • Able to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
  • Punctual and have a good attendance record.
  • Possesses a high degree of initiative.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Skills

  • Using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Scanning and entering orders into a WMS system.
  • Working independently and as part of a team.
  • Creating and maintaining professional relationships within all levels of the organization.

Pay

$17.00 per hour.

Schedule

First Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM.
