Forklift Operator 1st Shift

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in North Charleston, South Carolina. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career path that prioritizes safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Auditing, staging, and loading/unloading of products and trucks
• Handling day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during peak production hours
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• High degree of accuracy, even under pressure
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Qualifications

• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience

• Scanners and entering orders into a WMS System

Pay

$17.00 per hour

Schedule

First Shift Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM
